Wi-FM is a mechanism that aims to improve the performance of home wireless networks by coordinating with ambient radio signal. In particular, Wi-FM structures all WiFi transmissions around the repeating of RDS data transmissions embedded in FM radio. We find that employing this coordination reduces contention and improves performance.
