Short Biography
Jie Gu received the B.S degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, the M.S degree from Texas A&M University, and the Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Minnesota in 2008. Dr. Gu joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University from Jan. 2015. Before joining Northwestern University, Dr. Gu worked at Texas Instruments, Dallas, TX from 2007 to 2010 as a main researcher on the first 28nm ultra-low voltage DSP processor for mobile applications and a key developer for the next-generation power management technique for the application processor. From 2011 to 2014, Dr. Gu was a Senior Staff Engineer in Maxlinear, Inc., leading the development of low power broadband mixed-signal communication ICs.
